| WHAT ARE COOKIES? |
|
Cookies are small alphanumeric identifiers that your Web Browser stores on your computer. These Cookies enable our site to recognise your Web Browser and provide enhanced benefits like Automatic entry of your UserName and Password on the Burn Forums and Review Submissions as well as storage of items in your Shopping Cart between visits.
You do have a number of options when it comes to receiving Cookies and the 'Help' portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to change these options to prevent your browser from accepting Cookies all together, notify you when you receive a new Cookie or give you the option to accept Cookies from certain sites and/or pages.
Cookies are used by Burn to enhance your experience and take full advantage of the site as well as some of the more cooler features and we do recommend you leave them turned on to accept cookies for best results.

| DOES BURN SHARE THE INFORMATION IT RECEIVES? |
|
Your information is very valuable to us and an integral part of our business, we are not in the business of selling this information to other businesses or individuals. We share customer information only with the subsidiaries of Burn and as described below:
Agents: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples of this include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and email, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments and providing customer service. These Agents have access only to personal information required to complete their functions and are not able to use it for other purposes.
Promotional Offers: Sometimes we may send out special offers to select groups of Burn Members and Customers on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, the businesses involved do not get any of your personal information as all correspondence goes through our servers. If you do not wish to receive these special offers from time to time you can use the link at the bottom of any special offer email to remove yourself from future mailings.
Business Transfers: As we continue to grow and develop our business, we might sell or buy stores or assets. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets. Also, although unlikely, in the event Burn or substantially all of its assets are aquired, customer information will of course be one of the transferred assets.
Protection of Burn and Others: We will only release account and other personal information when we are required to by law or believe it is appropriate to comply with law, enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Burn, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
With your consent: Other than as described above, you will always receive notice when your information might go to any third party and you will of course have the opportunity to choose not to have your information shared.

| HOW SECURE IS INFORMATION ABOUT ME? |
|
We work very hard to protect the security of your information during transmission by using industry standard security measures called SSL. This stands for Secure Sockets Layer and uses the latest security available on the net. When you order you will be sent to a special 'Secure' zone where all information that is passed between you and us is fully encrypted and secure from anyone trying to breach your details. In fact this method is safer than using your telephone or fax machine!
Your personal information including credit card details are stored on a secure data base that is Encrypted for prevention of Physical and Electronic Penetration.
Your credit card detail will not be included in any correspondence from us when confirming or shipping an order. Of course we must transmit the credit card details to the appropriate credit card company for order processing and confirmation.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password/s and to your computer. If you are using a shared computer we recommend logging off our site and clearing the cache and cookies when you have finished your session.
